The man, identified as Mr Olaseni Arotiba, 75, was taken in, given a place to spend the night, and fed.  When asked about his home and family, he explained that he had been staying in a hotel and the hotel just evicted him because they needed to renovate. He said he spent the previous night in the home of his "caregiver" but had to leave.  Asked who paid for his hotel, he said his son Mayorkun Arotiba paid for him to stay in the hotel for an extended period but he can no longer be reached.  He added that the hotel did not want to evict him, so they called his son Mayorkun to come and pick him but Mayorkun never showed up.  The maternity staff took ...

A lady has shared an emotional tribute to her mother, who recently graduated with a first class degree over two decades after earning her NCE.

According to her, her mum initially completed her NCE more than 25 years ago, but had to put her education on hold as life took over — raising children, handling responsibilities, and making sacrifices for the family.   Despite the long break, she eventually returned to school, studying alongside much younger students and pushing through the challenges with determination.   In the end, she didn’t just graduate — she emerged as the best graduating student with a first class honour.   Describing her as their “hero,” the daughter said her mother’s journey is proof that delays don’t mean the end, and that it’s never too late to go back and achieve something meaningful.

Marriage is Just Legalized Prostitution” — Lady’s Blunt Take on Sex, Money, and Stinginess in Relationships Ignites Massive Online Debate

Image
A Nigerian lady has set social media ablaze after equating marriage to a form of prostitution, arguing that relationships — including wedlock — are fundamentally transactional exchanges involving sex, financial provision, security, and support. In a now-viral video circulating on Instagram and shared widely on platforms like Linda Ikeji’s Blog and Facebook, the woman broke down her views on intimacy, finances, and character in relationships, triggering strong reactions from both men and women. She began by emphasizing that sex is a central pillar of marriage, not something to be minimized or romanticized away. “Even though single people try to frame relationships differently, intimacy remains a big deal for both partners,” she stated. Her most provocative claim came when she described marriage as an “exchange system.” According to her, it involves trading sex, security, provision, and mutual support — elements that many criticize as “transactional” in dating but accept more readi...
