 Troops of 32 Brigade, in collaboration with local vigilantes, have arrested two suspected terrorists’ informants during an offensive operation in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State. Military sources said the operation was conducted at about 9:30 a.m. on May 25, 2026 in forested areas around Itagbolu, Iju, Igbogun Iju and Iju Alagbun communities. The operation formed part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and enhance security within the area.   Police in India have registered a m8rder case against a woman for allegedly poisoning and strangling her three children to d3ath before attempting su!cide by consuming phenyl, officials said on Wednesday, May 27.   A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt in Monday sentenced twin brothers and five others to d3ath by hanging for the kidnap and m8rder of Reverend Edwin Isaiah Dokubo-Harry. The deceased was abducted and k!lled in 2013 in a community in Asari Toru Local Government Area of the state. Presided over by Justice Boma Diepiri, the convicts faced a 25-count charge bordering on conspiracy, kidnap, m8rder, possession of illegal fire arm and criminality. Justice Diepiri discharged and acquitted Emmanuel Israel and Nephew Philemon.  A herder was arraigned in court for the alleged m8rder of a farmer who tried to stop him from grazing on his farm.    An Abuja-based lawyer, Ebuka Ikeorah, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Monday, May 25, 2026 decried the rampant and indiscriminate k!llings across the country. According to Ikeorah, the suspect allegedly caused the d3ath of the farmer by cutting his heart open.   "Earlier today in court, this guy was arraigned for homicide. He allegedly cut a man’s heart open for refusing to allow him enter the man’s farm with his cow,” he wrote.   "They were two, and one is still at large. Sometimes I wonder what this country has sunk to, that every day there are indiscriminate k!llings.   “How can you cut open a man’s heart because of ordinary grass for your cow?”

According to Abdulkarim, the newborn estimated to be one day old, was immediately taken to a hospital where doctors confirmed she was in stable condition.    "On 25th May, 2026, at about 1500hrs, operatives attached to A Division, Damaturu, rescued a newborn baby girl estimated to be one day old after she was discovered abandoned at Kallalawa Village,” the statement read.   "The infant was promptly taken to the Special Baby Care Unit, General Hospital Damaturu, where medical examination confirmed her to be in stable condition.    “The child was thereafter handed over to the Social Welfare Department for proper care and protection, while investigation has commenced to trace the mother and circumstances surrounding the abandonment.”

  The Romanian 33-year-old mam was detained after allegedly going up to the boy and hugging and kissing him on the face in front of shocked holidaymakers.   The bizarre incident happened on Wednesday afternoon, May 20, at an unnamed hotel in the Majorcan party resort.   The boy’s mother immediately challenged the man after seeing what was happening, prompting him to stop straight away.    Officers took statements from witnesses and the child’s parents before arresting the suspect on suspicion of s£xual a$sault.   He was escorted to court yesterday afternoon, May 21, by two Civil Guard officers.   The cops led him into the court building in the Majorcan capital Palma in handcuffs, in the same top, shorts and sandals he had been wearing when he was arrested.   The British family are said to have returned home following the incident.
