  Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has blamed the wind for Bournemouth’s opening goal against the Reds in Saturday’s Premier League. In what was a nightmare encounter for Arne Slot’s Reds, Evanilson opened the scoring during the first half after Van Dijk failed to deal with a bouncing ball, and Alex Jimenez then doubled their lead seven minutes later. Liverpool managed to draw proceedings level through Van Dijk’s deft header on the stroke of the half-time whistle and then Dominik Szoboszlai’s cute free kick around the Bournemouth wall in the 80th minute.
