The initiative, spearheaded under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, aims to streamline import and export processes, reduce bureaucratic delays, and position Nigeria as a leading trade hub in Africa. The NSW is a unified digital portal that integrates all relevant government agencies—including the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), and others—into a single electronic system.   The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched a comprehensive probe into the tragic mining incident in the Zurak community, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, where the death toll has reached 37 miners, with at least 25 others hospitalized. The disaster occurred in the early hours of Wednesday (around 5:45 a.m. local time) at a lead and zinc mining site in the Kampani/Zurak area. Victims, mostly young men aged 20–35, reportedly succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning (and possibly other toxic gases like sulphite) after inhaling lethal fumes in poorly ventilated underground tunnels.
