Chelsea Football Club has reportedly reached a total agreement to appoint Xabi Alonso as the club’s new manager.
According to reports from The Athletic, Alonso has accepted the opportunity to take charge at Stamford Bridge after visiting London earlier this month, following the departure of Liam Rosenoir. A four-year contract is currently being finalized, with an official announcement from the club expected soon. The decision comes after a thorough search by the Chelsea hierarchy, during which former Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola was also seriously considered for the role before the club advanced negotiations with Alonso.
