Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has publicly fired back at fellow artiste and social activist Seun Kuti over his repeated criticism of Wizkid’s fanbase, known as Wizkid FC, during recent livestreams.

Seun Kuti, the son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has consistently argued that no contemporary Nigerian musician can be compared to his late father in terms of revolutionary impact, ideology, and social message. 

He has often condemned what he describes as attempts by Wizkid’s fans to draw parallels between the Grammy-winning singer and Fela.

Doubling down on his stance, Seun insisted that such comparisons reflect a deep misunderstanding of what Fela stood for musically, politically, and socially. He went as far as describing Wizkid FC as “the most ignorant fanbase in the world.”

In response, Wizkid lashed out at Seun on social media, accusing him of repeatedly attacking his fans. The singer posted a series of heated messages.

“Ok everybody better pass Wizkid! Can we all sleep now? Fela Fight for freedom, this fool dey fight fc! Oloshi Omo ale,’’he wrote.

In another post he wrote: “Everyday Wizkid! I fuck ur ugly wife? Wetin. Pussy boy @bigbirdkuti, ok i big pass your papa!! Wetin you one do? Fool at 40.”

“I am big Wiz everyday, bigger than your papa! Wetin you one do fool?”
