Mercy Johnson sends strong warning, says If you use your handle to make any allegation, you must prove it

 

Popular Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie has warned anyone spreading false rumors about her family that they should be prepared to face legal action and prove their claims in court.

In a heartfelt video released today, the actress said this year would involve sending out court letters. She shared her deep concern about how these false stories have affected her children’s lives.

“It’s upsetting. I have teenagers who are in school, who are being bullied in school because of the things that you write,” she said in the video. “There are parents telling their kids not to let my kids touch their school bags because I am a witch.”

The actress further warned bloggers, faceless accounts, and those allegedly behind such campaigns—including claims that some are run or funded by fellow actresses to cease spreading lies, as the consequences extend far beyond her and directly harm innocent children.

She made it clear that while she has chosen mercy in this instance, she will not tolerate continued attacks in 2026. “If you use your handle, your face to allege, you will prove. So just be certain. I still have many more cases since you guys have chosen that is how you want my 2026 to be, because I’m not going to allow my kids to get bullied because of your lies,” she declared.

She also announced her decision to withdraw defamation charges she had filed against TikToker Eedie Bliss. The TikToker had posted a controversial video in December 2025, alleging that Mercy’s husband, Prince Henry Okojie, purchased a house for a pregnant mistress and making other unproven claims about the family, including accusations that Mercy conspired to cause a miscarriage.

Explaining her choice to drop the case amid public outcry and following the TikToker’s release from custody on January 17, Mercy emphasized her priority: protecting her family from ongoing harassment.
