The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially announced that Nigeria's 2027 general elections will commence with the Presidential and National Assembly (NASS) polls on Saturday, February 20, 2027. Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will follow two weeks later on Saturday, March 6, 2027.

This timetable was released by INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan during a press conference in Abuja on February 13, 2026. The announcement marks the formal start of the electoral process for the 2027 polls, in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999, as amended), the Electoral Act 2022, and INEC's Guidelines and Regulations for the Conduct of Elections.
