The Labour Party in Nigeria (under the interim leadership of Senator Nenadi Usman) has publicly disowned a fake social media account on X (formerly Twitter). The account in question operates under the name “Nigeria Labour Party (LP)” with the handle @NewsLp26689, which the party describes as unauthorized and a parody.

This disavowal was announced in an official statement signed by Ken Asogwa, Senior Special Adviser on Media to the Interim National Chairman, and reported by major Nigerian outlets including Vanguard and Leadership Newspapers on February 9, 2026 (or around that date based on recent publications).
