The staff's declaration underscores their role in maintaining secretariat operations and signals strong administrative backing for the Turaki leadership amid appeals and potential further legal battles.

The management and staff of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its training arm, the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI), have publicly reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty and allegiance to the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki SAN-led National Working Committee (NWC).

This development comes amid the ongoing leadership crisis in the opposition party, following a recent judgment by the Federal High Court in Ibadan that nullified the PDP's National Convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15-16, 2025—where the Turaki-led NWC was elected. The staff, in a joint statement signed by senior directors and officials (including up to 76 listed members such as acting Director Administration Gambo Isa Gaude), rejected the court ruling and insisted that the Turaki-led NWC remains the only legitimate and duly elected leadership.
