Tragedy on Nollywood Set: Two Crew Members Found Dead in Parked Car at Lekki Hospital Location

 

The Nigerian film industry, popularly known as Nollywood, is reeling from a shocking incident after two production crew members were discovered dead inside a vehicle at a movie set in Lekki Phase 1.

The deceased are lighting director Ekemini “GeeTee” Imeh, CEO of GeeTee Light, and Ayodeji Walter Odediran, a creative video director known as Director Carrinqton. Their bodies were found on the evening of Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Imeh’s tinted Nissan car parked within the premises of Evercare Hospital, which served as the filming location for an ongoing project reportedly directed by ex-BBNaija star Boma Akpore.

Sources close to the production said the two men arrived early to set up lighting equipment before principal photography began. They later entered the vehicle to rest with the AC running. As filming continued throughout the day, attempts to reach them by phone failed. It was only after wrap time, around 8 p.m., that their lifeless bodies were discovered.

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed an active investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba. Authorities are questioning key individuals, including the producer, a food vendor on set, and another crew member. CCTV footage is being analyzed, and autopsies are expected to determine the cause of death.
