Body of Missing Abdullahi Mohammed Recovered from Shallow Grave in Mangu, Plateau State

 

Security operatives have recovered the body of a man reported missing from Kopgai village in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The deceased has been identified as Mr. Abdullahi Mohammed. His corpse was discovered buried in a shallow grave along the Gimti River line, between Kopgai and Langai districts, at about 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

According to security sources, the body was exhumed and handed over to the family for proper burial in accordance with Islamic rites. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and death.

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have intensified efforts to safeguard communities and tackle criminal activities across Plateau State amid the recovery.
