Kogi State Polytechnic Lecturer Slumps and Dies Mid-Lecture



 The academic community at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of one of its lecturers, Mr. Anselm Ahman Victory Ojodomo (also referred to as Anselm in some tributes).

According to eyewitness accounts and reports circulating on social media, Ojodomo collapsed while actively delivering a lecture to his students on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was immediately attended to by those present and rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent care. Sadly, despite efforts by medical personnel, he was confirmed dead.1751c6

Details of the lecturer’s department and the specific course he was teaching at the time of the incident are yet to be officially confirmed by the institution’s management. No official statement has been released by the Kogi State Polytechnic authorities as of the time of filing this report.

Students and colleagues have taken to social media platforms, particularly Facebook, to express their grief and pay tributes to the deceased. Many described Ojodomo as a highly esteemed and widely admired lecturer known for his strength, wisdom, dedication, and unwavering commitment to duty.
