A lady has shared an emotional tribute to her mother, who recently graduated with a first class degree over two decades after earning her NCE.

According to her, her mum initially completed her NCE more than 25 years ago, but had to put her education on hold as life took over — raising children, handling responsibilities, and making sacrifices for the family.

Despite the long break, she eventually returned to school, studying alongside much younger students and pushing through the challenges with determination.

In the end, she didn’t just graduate — she emerged as the best graduating student with a first class honour.

Describing her as their “hero,” the daughter said her mother’s journey is proof that delays don’t mean the end, and that it’s never too late to go back and achieve something meaningful.
