Kebbi Police Arrest 10 Suspects in Brutal Killing of Businessman Sufiyanu Garba, Rescue His Pregnant Wife Zainab

 


The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old businessman, Sufiyanu Garba, and the abduction of his pregnant wife, Zainab Mohammad (also referred to as Zainab Mohammed Yauri), in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi.

The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of March 13, 2026, when armed assailants reportedly forced their way into the couple's residence, shot and killed Sufiyanu Garba, and abducted his heavily pregnant wife before fleeing to an unknown destination.0151ab

Following sustained investigative efforts, intelligence-led operations, and technical analysis by operatives of the State Intelligence Department and the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, the police successfully rescued Zainab Mohammad and safely reunited her with her family.
