Florida authorities have released dramatic body camera footage showing the moments following golf legend Tiger Woods' rollover crash and subsequent DUI arrest last week, offering a raw look at the 50-year-old superstar's interaction with deputies.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office made hours of video public on Thursday, April 2, 2026, depicting the scene after Woods' Land Rover SUV clipped a trailer attached to a truck and overturned on a road in Jupiter Island on March 27. No injuries were reported in the crash.

In the footage, Woods is seen approaching a deputy while appearing disoriented. He pulls out his phone and tells the officer, “I was just talking to the president,” according to multiple reports reviewing the video. When instructed to stay near the scene, Woods responds by walking back toward the crash site. 

Deputy Tatiana Levenar then conducts a series of roadside sobriety tests. Woods reportedly showed signs of impairment, including sweating profusely, stumbling, and hiccuping. He appears to nod off at times while seated in the back of a patrol vehicle afterward. Deputies also discovered pills in his pocket during the encounter.b46860

The deputy informs Woods he is under arrest for DUI, stating, “I do believe your normal faculties are impaired, and you’re under an unknown substance.” Video captures Woods reacting with surprise, asking, “I’m being arrested?” as he is handcuffed.168344

Woods has been charged with driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful urinalysis test—three misdemeanor counts in total. He has pleaded not guilty, waived his arraignment, and requested a jury trial. He is represented by the same attorney who handled his 2017 DUI case.

In a statement issued days after the arrest,

Woods announced he is stepping away from competitive golf to seek treatment and focus on his health. A judge has approved his request for inpatient treatment.

The release of the bodycam footage has drawn significant public attention, with clips circulating widely on social media and news outlets. Woods, a 15-time major champion and one of the most iconic figures in golf history, has faced previous personal and health challenges, including a serious 2021 car crash that required multiple surgeries.
