Veteran Nollywood Actor Patrick Doyle Welcomes Baby Girl, Omayinuwa, with Wife Funmilayo

 Veteran Nollywood actor and broadcaster Patrick Doyle has announced the joyful arrival of his seventh child overall — and the first with his current wife, Oluwafunmilayo (also known as Funmilayo or Kumo).

In a heartfelt Facebook post on Saturday, April 11, 2026, the elated father shared the news, expressing deep gratitude to God. He revealed that their baby girl, named Omayinuwa Mayen Harriet Doyle, was born on Friday, April 10, 2026, at about 10:40 AM.

“To the glory of God I announce the precious addition of a female child to my quiver. OMAYINUWA MAYEN HARRIET DOYLE was born yesterday at about 10:40 AM. Mother and child are doing well and daddy is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to God Almighty,” Doyle wrote.

This marks the couple’s first child together. Doyle, who has been open about finding renewed happiness in his marriage to Funmilayo (a union with a notable 33-year age gap), tied the knot with her in a traditional ceremony in December 2023, shortly after his divorce from ex-wife and fellow actress Iretiola Doyle was confirmed.

Doyle’s previous marriage to Ireti produced five children. He had earlier lost his first wife to sickle cell anemia in 1999 and a son, Raymond, in 2009. The broadcaster and actor, known for his long career in Nollywood since the 1980s, has often spoken warmly of his family life and faith.

Congratulations have been pouring in from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers across social media, celebrating the new addition to the Doyle family.

Mother and baby are reported to be in good health, with Doyle describing himself as “overwhelmed with joy.”
