 Air Peace has reduced its Abuja-London flight frequency to three times per week amid Jet A1 (aviation fuel) supply constraints

The airline made the announcement in a statement it posted on X on Saturday.

We wish to inform you that our Abuja to London service has been temporarily adjusted to three weekly flights until July 1

This is due to the current aviation fuel supply constraints affecting flight operations nationwide and around the world.


“This measure is necessary to maintain the highest standards of safety and operational reliability during this period, with full operational frequency on our London service scheduled to resume from July 1.


“We recognise that this adjustment may impact your travel plans, and we deeply appreciate your patience and understanding,” it said.

It gave the assurance that it was monitoring the situation and working closely with relevant stakeholders.

The airline reaffirmed its commitment to  serving its customers safely, reliably and with care.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that before the announcement, Air Peace operated daily flights from Abuja to London.

Two kidnap victims rescued as gunmen k!ll driver and abduct four passengers in Kaduna

  Troops of Operation Enduring Peace  have rescued two kidnap victims following an attack by suspected kidnappers along a highway in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.   Security sources Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred in the early hours of June 6, 2026 along the Rafi Tagwai–Angwan Dariya road in the local government area.   The sources said the gunmen had barricaded the highway and attacked a commercial vehicle conveying passengers.   According to the sources, the assailants shot dead the driver of the vehicle, identified as Mr Ibrahim Musa, before abducting four passengers.   Troops deployed at Ungwan Gora quickly responded to reports of the incident and moved to the scene.   “On arrival, the troops discovered that the gunmen had k!lled the commercial vehicle driver and abducted four passengers.   “During a search-and-rescue operation conducted in the adjoining bushes, the troops successfully rescued two injured passengers,”...
